Intesa Sanpaolo investe 25 milioni di euro in Sacco System per la crescita sostenibile

Intesa Sanpaolo has provided a 25 million euro loan to Sacco System, an international biotech company based in Como, Italy, that specializes in providing innovative and customized ingredients for the food, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical industries. The loan will be used to finance the construction of two new production units and to improve the company’s welfare parameters and sustainability in supplier selection. The funding, called S-Loan Climate Change, is part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s commitment to supporting businesses interested in mitigating climate change risks and adopting more sustainable business models. Sacco System focuses on producing natural products, such as lactic ferments, microorganisms, probiotics, and enzymes, that enhance food culture and quality. They also develop probiotics, postbiotics, and next-generation bacteria for the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sectors. In addition, Sacco System manufactures lactic ferment strains for the agro-veterinary industry. The loan demonstrates Intesa Sanpaolo’s dedication to rewarding companies that prioritize innovation and sustainability, aligning with the initiatives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and the Motore Italia Transizione Energetica.
