Pendragon, a British automotive dealer, has announced that it will sell its car and leasing businesses in the UK to Lithia UK Holding for a gross consideration of £250 million ($310 million). The move is part of Pendragon’s efforts to streamline its operations and improve its financial position. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Pendragon operates over 160 sites in the UK under various brands, including Evans Halshaw, Stratstone, and CarStore. Lithia is a US-based automotive retailer with over 220 locations across the country.
